Background

DBC came together June 2001, after a group of 7 mates headed off to Mudgee for a bike weekend. Staying at Jason’s place, over the hill from Louee dirt bike park, we hired bikes for the weekend and were really pumped. We spent the Saturday at Louee and had a great day, meeting some top people. The next day we road all day at Jason’s place and it was unreal. The hill climbs were tops and the riding was amazing; from then on the riding bug was born.

All the guys were Christians - that is, we all believed in Jesus. In February the next year we went on holidays together and talked about how could we offer young people a weekend with bikes, mates, and a great time away, and at the same time present to people how much God has impacted the way we live our lives. The idea was not to preach to people, but instead, to show them how much we love God by running these weekends for them. By June 2001 Dirt Bike Crusades was formed and ran its first camp in Mudgee

In 2006 we are still here and we couldn’t be where we are today without the help and support of many people, too many even to begin to name. All of us in DBC also believe that our own personal faith in God has brought us through the many trials and challenges we have encountered over the past 5 years.
Over the last 5 years DBC has been able to reach the lives of many people, young and old and their families. Our aim in the future is to have many more opportunities to share with people the love that God has for us all.

DBC is a non-profit organization that allows young riders an opportunity to develop or challenge their skills as a dirt bike rider.

Our aim is to form strong relationships with young people and their families, through a common interest in dirt bikes, and to share with them our personal experiences and relationship with the Lord. We pray that we can, at the same time give them some of our knowledge of the good news from the gospel. This is what brought DBC together and what motivates us to run these camps.
